The vines of Troplong Mondot
Last week I crossed the Garonne. Yes yes, with all due respect to my friends who often tease me, it happens to me sometimes. But I had a good reason, I was going to Saint Emilion , on the land of
Troplong Mondot
.
Troplong-Mondot ?
Yes, the name is not very easy to remember but the place is magical. It consists of a wine estate whose wine is 1er Grand Cru classé, a restaurant, les Belles Perdrix , which received one star in the Michelin Guide a year ago, and pretty guest rooms.

Afamés,
it was still summer.
With the Afamés
And I brought you back some pictures :p

On the stove side, the chef,
David Charrier
is young but already great. I really liked his cooking and especially his juices and sauces. They are tasty, full-bodied and go really well with the dishes. As for his presentations, they are delicate and elegant, please judge for yourself.
Excellent.
As I told you in the preamble, the property also includes pretty guest rooms and a swimming pool overlooking Saint Emilion:

A real little piece of paradise!
If you feel like escaping from Bordeaux for a few hours of serenity in the vineyard, don’t hesitate to make a stopover at Troplong Mondot.
And of course, don’t forget the wines!
